Current Extension Projects
Finally! The Adair Road Water Line Extension has been approved by the Public Service Commission of West Virginia. This extension will allow us to provide water further down Adair Road and to Little Rich Creek Valley Road, Daugherty Road, John Deere Drive, Peach Tree Lane, Greasy Ridge Road, Carter Lane, and Pinhook Road. If you are interested in having a water tap installed during project construction, please contact the office as soon as possible.
We want to remind our future customers, if you have signed a users agreement with us to use public water, a $100 tap fee is due to paid before the construction crew moves past your home.
Currently, we are waiting for bacteriological results and running last minute tests to ensure the line is safe and ready. If you have signed a user’s agreement and have requested a tap, you will receive a letter on your door letting you know when the line is ready. The Public Service Commission (PSC) requires us to collect an $80 security deposit for each location (tap) before we can come turn your meter on. We will need to come into the home to inspect and ensure there is physical separation between the well and town water.

Red Sulphur PSD is currently working with engineers and the West Virginia Regional Planning Commission to extend sewer service down WV Route 12 to areas in Cashmere and Ballard. If approved to move forward and the funding is available, this would impact approximately 125 households and businesses.
